On the road to Gamboa on the bus, Adopta volunteers saw a sloth in the road. The bus thankfully stopped and local biology student Anyuri Gonzalez ran to move the sloth quickly and safely across the road. Please be aware of animals crossing the street! Sloths are slow and can easily be moved. Just remember to move them in the direction that they are headed, or they may cross back over. Just grab them by the skin on their back. Other animals such as monkeys and coatimundis can cross quickly on their own, but give them a brake so they have time to cross. Help us cut down on wildlife deaths by being kind to animals in the street!
